Pricing varies depending on the type of carving or sculpture created, and the amount of detail in the base, wall display or other options. Due to these issues and the fluctuations in costs of raw materials and shipping, we prefer to quote each commission or request individually. Lead times vary depending on the complexity and size of the carving and time of year (remember, we live in Alaska with nearly 5 months of winter so that we can enjoy the fishing here!) Typical lead times are 6 to 12 months, sometimes longer depending on the project). Please submit your request with this in mind.

Use the pricing guide below, or the online form to send your request. All quote requests are answered promptly. Once the species, size and type of sculpture is known, we will send you a formal quote. Quotes are sent in Microsoft Word format, other formats available on request. Quotes are valid for the calendar year. Deposits are non-refundable once work is started, or at the discretion of Reel Trout Studio Inc. Shipping is not included in the cost of the carving, unless quoted. Lifelike Realism with extreme detail. Our wood carvings are often selected by discerning collectors after searching for that perfect trout, salmon, char or grayling carving. As a flyfisherman who spends several months per year handling these species of fish, Eric has a 'reel' feel for how to carve, paint and display these fish, his favorite species. However, any species is possible, as Eric has successfully carved exotic saltwater and freshwater fish from around the globe. Eric has over 20 years painting experience with airbrush, and sketches fish continually. His favorite species are all trout, char and salmon. Other species will be considered upon request. A Note on Pricing: In a review of other fish carvers, our pricing is not the least (or most) expensive. However, Eric's fish carvings are often rated as among the best seen for their realism. We have seen many carvings of lesser quality priced higher, but never any carvings of equal quality priced lower. Eric has ONE rule with his fish carvings: they have to meet his standard of quality before any work can be released to a client. We want our clients to enjoy their artwork for life. Wood Carvings 8" - 26" All wood carvings are priced as pedestal mount (both sides can be displayed) due to the method used to carve these fish. Wall plaques & pedestal bases are additional. Fiberglass Reproduction Mounts	Vendors / Trades / Donations
Due to recent requests for Fiberglass fish mounts, we have decided to offer this option. However, we still believe you will always be happier with a fish sculpted to most accurately and closely resemble your actual fish caught. In most cases, fiberglass casts are made from fish killed then placed in a form to create castings. This process allows for cheaper replicas, but it is still a replica of a dead fish, and it is impossible to keep your options 'unlimited' when working in this fashion. Fiberglass mounts are not all created equal, either. It is rare to find the exact size of fish caught in length, girth, sex and season. These factors are why we encourage you to look at the options of a wood or urethane carving.	Vendors: Retail locations ordering a HIGH volume of fish carvings or other artwork will receive a vendor discount. Please contact us for details. Donations: Over the past 5 years, we have been asked to donate work to a variety of causes. We have enjoyed this when time permitted. However, in order to best serve our paying clients, donations are not always available. We continue to support many programs, as always.

Shipping Information	Orders Outside the US & Canada
Shipping in the US and Canada is done via USPS Express Mail or UPS 2nd Day Air. Contact us for a quote on shipping, or use the calculators at these websites to estimate the cost: USPS: www.usps.com UPS: www.ups.com FedEX: www.fedex.com Most average HDU & wood carvings can be shipped Express Mail for $40.00. A crating charge of $20.00 will be applied for carvings up to 24". Carvings 25" to 34" will have a crating charge of $40.00. Carvings over 34" will require a quote for the crating. Shipping & Handling must be paid before carvings can be shipped. We never charge more than the actual shipping amount.	Shipping outside the US & Canada - call for quote. All orders must have deposit to start work and be paid in full before shipping. Shipping can be done via USPS Global Express for lower rates than UPS or FedEX. Please remember that orders take 4 - 12 months to complete, depending on complexity and size of order. Crating charges will be applied as needed to insure safe delivery of your carvings.
