Now available: Chinook king salmon miniature pedestal mount.  This wood carving from Alaskan artist Eric L Knowlton is modeled after a fiesty 42" king salmon caught on the Little Susitna in 2008 by the artist - the fish that was caught twice!  After his line broke, Eric re-caught the king (actually, the tangle of line still attached to the hook) and managed to work the fish ashore - and the lucky lure was retrieved as well! This Limited Edition brown trout sculpture is currently available, with a limited edition of 10 total.  12" wide x 17" high, approx.  Trout measures 12" long and balances over the stream bed, stalking his unseen prey.  As with all of Eric's carvings, the trout and base have all been carved with incredible detail.  This trout needs to be seen in person to appreciate the true depth of color, from rusty yellow to underlying chrome and a splash of blue on the cheek, the signature of male browns as they near the spawn.  Multiple layers of detail are painted in to bring depth and luster to this beautiful fish.
